“Blue Symphony" 30 x 48” Original Painting on Canvas
Blue Symphony is a 30 × 48 inch original acrylic painting on canvas and part of my Feeling Blue series.
Blue Symphony is an original acrylic painting on canvas and the first completed piece in my Feeling Blue series.
Painted intuitively, this piece explores the rhythm, movement, and emotion that can exist within color. Layers of blue move across the canvas alongside unexpected pops of color and expressive marks, each playing its own part while coming together as one composition—much like the individual sounds within a symphony.
Music was also part of the creative process. While painting this piece, I found myself listening to Tanner Adell's Whiskey Blues again and again, and for a while, I considered giving the painting a name inspired by the song. But as the piece developed, Blue Symphony felt more fitting. The painting had created a rhythm of its own.
As the first painting completed for the collection, Blue Symphony helped establish the visual language that would continue throughout the series—layered, expressive, vibrant, and reflective.
This piece invites you to experience blue beyond its association with sadness and instead discover its movement, depth, energy, and quiet sense of peace.
Part of the Feeling Blue Collection
What began as an exploration of the color blue became a journey through emotion, healing, and hope. Inspired by a simple moment—a blue dress, green nails, and the desire to create with a color I had rarely embraced—this collection transformed into something much more personal. During a season when I was feeling a little blue, painting with blue became a source of comfort. Each piece in the Feeling Blue collection explores a different emotion while celebrating the peace, depth, resilience, and beauty that can be found in every shade of blue.
